Stone Root cut 1oz

Otherwise known as Richweed or Horse Balm, Stone Root possesses a strong, lemon fragrance, which resulted in Native Americans brewing it as a tea and a wash, which was used to help mend cuts and wounds. This purpose was also adapted by European settlers in the Virginian Mountains. Later mountaineers also expanded on this medicinal use, finding it quite helpful in treating afflictions of the bladder and digestive system in general. These mountaineers most commonly brewed it as a tea as well, as which it was quite popular. Today, those early uses have expanded into the lore of many modern Herbalists, who prescribe Stone Root in the treatment of kidney stones. Some say that this is where the root actually gets its name. Other herbalists sometimes use it as well as a diuretic for treating fluid retentions, or in digestive issues, such as irritable bowel syndrome. As a poultice it has seen use in treating bruises, cuts and sores, as well as in treating hemorrhoids and varicose veins. This is a 1 oz packet of cut Stone Root.
